پيچ وتاب pech-o-tāb P s. m. Restlessness, alarm, suspense, perplexity, folds, twisting and twining, contortion, knots. پيچ تاب کهانا pech-tāb khānā, To suffer distress or anxiety, to be vexed, to twist or twine.

پٿکنا paṭaknā H (r. पट Move) 1. v. a. To dash against any thing, to throw on the ground with violence, to knock. 2. v. n. To crackle, to crack. H.S̱. پٿکني دينا paṭkanī denā, v. a. To dash on the ground, to throw against any thing with violence. H. S̱. پٿکي دينا paṭkī denā, v. a. To dash on the ground, to throw against any thing with violence.

پاسا pāsā पाशक S̱. s. m. A die (plur. پاسي pāse, dice, the oblong dice with which chaupaṛ is played); a throw of dice.

پوٿا poṭā H s. m. 1. An unfledged bird. 2. The eyelid. 3. The crop or craw (of birds). 4. Stomach. 5. The mucus of the nose, snot.

پسو pissū H s. m. A flea.

پهنکا phankā H s. m. A handful (or, rather, mouth- ful) of any thing eaten by being chucked into the mouth. پهنکا مارنا phankā mārnā, To eat by chucking into the mouth, to chuck food into the mouth. See پهانکنا phānknā.

پساري pasārī S̱. (see پنساري pansārī) s. m. One who sells spices, a spicer.

پلک palak P s. f. m. The eyelid; a moment. پلک دريا palak-daryā, s. m. Clouds. پلک مارنايامٿکانا pulak-mārnā or -maṭkānā, v. a. To wink. پلک لگنا palak lagnā, Twinkling of the eye, closing of the eyelids. پلک مين palak meṅ or پلک کي مارتي palak ke mārte, In the twinkling of an eye.

پگڙي pagṛī H s. f. A turband. پگڙي اٿکنا pagṛī aṭaknā, To be obstinate, to persist or persevere. پگڙي چهپٿنا pagṛī chhapaṭnā, To practise de- ceit, to act treacherously.

پهلنا phalnā फलन S̱. v. n. 1. To bear fruit.
