پرکهنا parakh-nā परीक्षण S̱. v. a. To inspect, to examine, to prove, to try.

پروسيا parosaiyā S̱. (from پروسنا) s. m. A distributer of victuals to the guests, one who serves up din- ner, a waiter.

پيرا pīrā पीत S̱. adj. Yellow. See پيلا pīlā.

پور por पर्व S̱. s. f. The space or interval be- tween two joints or articulations (of the body, or of a bamboo, sugar-cane, &c.). پورپور por- por, adv. Every joint.

پيٿي peṭ-ī S̱. (from پيٿ) s. f. 1. A belly-band, a girth. 2. A portmanteau. 3. A box, a tumbril, a case. 4. The thorax, chest. پيٿي لڙنا يا مارنا peṭī-laṛna or -mārnā, v. a. To copulate.

The instep, an in- flammation or phlegmon on the upper surface of the foot. پشت قدم pusht-i-ḳadam, The top of the foot, the instep. پشت پرکسي کي رهنا pusht par kisī kī rahnā (lit. To back one) To support steadily. پشت پناه pusht-panāh, An ally, a supporter. پشت خم pusht-ḵẖam, adj. Hump- backed. پشت دست کسي پرمارناياپشت پامارنا pusht-i-dast kisī par mārnā or pusht-i-pā mārnā, To reject, to abandon. پشت دينا pusht denā (lit. To turn oneʼs back) To flee, run away, turn tail.

پاک زاده pāk-zāda P s. (dakh.) A washerman.
