پير pīr पीडा S̱. s. f. Pain, ache, sickness; feeling, pity, compassion, mercy.

پاکي pāk-ī P s. f. Purity, cleanliness, sanctity. پاکي لينا pākī lenā, v. a. To shave or pluck hairs from parts concealed.

پرهاري prahārī S (from پرهار) s. m. A striker, smiter, destroyer, debaser, humbler.

پينتانا peṅtānā पादान्त S̱. s. m. The foot of a bed, the side towards the feet.

پرستابک prastābik प्रस्ताविक S̱. adj. Sug- gested by previous mention, well-timed, apropos, opportune, seasonable.

پينس pīnas H s. f. A chair or litter.

پنڐ pinḍ पिंड S̱. s. m. 1. Body, person. پنڐپڙنا pinḍ paṛnā, To follow, to pursue, to be intent on. پنڐچهڙانا pinḍ chhuṛānā, To avoid, to escape. 2. Balls made of flour or rice, at a religious ceremony of Hindūs. (They are after- wards thrown into the river or given to cows).

پنوانا punwānā H (caus. of پنا punnā) v. a. To cause to be abused or reproached by another.

پسنگا pasangā P. s. m. The same as پاسنگ q. v.

پهٿ پڙنا phaṭ paṛnā S̱. v. n. 1. To be produced plentifully. 2. To become fat suddenly. 3. To be confounded with too much business. آسمان پهٿ پڙنا āsmān phaṭ paṛnā, v. n. To rain hard.
