پٿاپٿ paṭāpaṭ पटत्पटत् S̱. s. m. The sound of beating or of the falling of drops of rain.

پاستان pāstān P adj. Old, ancient, past.

پرور parwar P part. act. and pass. (from پروردن) used in compos. A patron, protector, nourisher, cherisher: educated, cherished. As, غريب پرور g̠ẖarīb-parwar, Cherisher of the poor. سايه پرور sāya-parwar, adj. Educated in the shade or at home; soft, delicate, knowing little of the world.

پيسا paisā H s. m. 1. The name of a copper coin. 2. Money, cash. پيسااڙانا paisā uṛānā, 1. To spend extravagantly. 2. پليد palīd P vulg. pilīd, adj. Unclean, polluted, impure, nasty.

پهونک phūnk S̱. (from پهونکنا) s. f. Act of blowing, a puff, a blast, blowing up (fire, &c.). پهونک پهونک کي پانودهرنا phūnk-phūnk-ke pāṅw dharnā, To act or walk carefully and cautiously. پهونک دينا phūnk denā, To set on fire.

پروين parwīn P s. m. The pleiades.
