پرم परम param S adj. Best, most excellent, chief, principal, first, supreme. پرمارتهـ para- mārth (from ارتهـ Meaning, intention) s. m. The first pursuit, the best end, virtue, merit. پرمارتهي paramārth-ī, adj. Religious, seeking the best end, virtuous. پرمانند param-ānand, Great plea- sure. پرم پد param-pad, s. m. Heaven or beati- tude. پرم دهام param-dhām, s. m. Paradise. پرم گت param-gati, s. f. Eternal felicity, hea- venly bliss.

پهڙانا phaṛānā S̱. (स्फाटन or caus. of پهاڙنا q. v.) v. a. To cause to be torn, split or cleaved.

پهب phab H (from پهبنا) s. f. Embellishment, ornament, dress.

پرکهـ parakh S̱. (परीक्षा from परि and r. ईक्ष See) s. f. Inspection, examination, trial, proof, experiment.

پهسلاؤ phuslāʼū H (from پهسلانا) s. m. A coaxer, wheedler, seducer.

پهونک phūnk S̱. (from پهونکنا) s. f. Act of blowing, a puff, a blast, blowing up (fire, &c.). پهونک پهونک کي پانودهرنا phūnk-phūnk-ke pāṅw dharnā, To act or walk carefully and cautiously. پهونک دينا phūnk denā, To set on fire.

پرتا partā H s. m. A reel (for winding thread). ¶ purtā, adj. (dakh.) See موافق muwāfiḳ.
