ب ba P prep. (often prefixed to another word, but, when standing alone, written به) With, by, for, in, into, to, up to, on, upon. S̱. ب (ब) ba, may stand for برن (वरुण) baruṇ, The god of water. It may, also, denote Sun, ocean, or water.

بهنبهوا bhambhūʼā H s. m. A faḳīr who is pressed by hunger to rob.

باورا bāʼorā S̱. adj. Mad, &c. See باولا bāʼolā.

بهاٴي چاري bhāʼī-chārī भ्रातृचारी S̱. s. f. The relationship of brothers, brotherhood.

بهيرون bhairoṅ भैरव S̱. s. m. 1. The name of a rāg or musical mode sung at dawn in autumn. (It is represented by Mahādeva with the Ganges flowing from his head and the rāg issuing from that deityʼs mouth). 2. A name of Siva; see بهيرو bhairav.

بارگير bār-gīr P s. m. 1. A horseman (soldier) who does not find his own horse. 2. A beast of burthen. S. بارن वारण (r. वृ Cover, screen) bāran or vāraṇ, s. m. 1. Forbidding, prohibiting, pre- venting. 2. An elephant.

بدارن bidāran S (विदारण from वि and r. दृ Tear) s. m. Tearing, rending, breaking, cleaving, splitting, severing, dividing.

بگ bag वक S̱. See s. بک bak. بگپانت bag- pānti, s. f. A row or line of cranes. بگ چال bag-chāl, s. f. Walking slowly (like a crane). S̱. H. بگ چهندالگنا bag-chhandā lagnā (باگهـ A ti- ger, and چهاندنا To tether) v. n. To be stu- pified or petrified with fear at the sight of a tiger.

بـﮩرون bahurauṅ H adv. Again.

بهنورا bhaṅwrā S̱. (भ्रमर) s. m. 1. A large black bee. 2. A climbing plant, creeper.
