برشته birishta P part. pass. (of برشتن) Fried, broiled. S. برشکال वर्षकाल (from वर्ष Rain, and काल Season) barshkāl or varsh̤a-kāla, s. m. The rainy season, the rains.

بهيک भेक bhek S s. m. A toad, a frog.

بهگت bhagat भक्त S̱. s. m. See بهکت bhakt. بهگت کهيلنا bhagat-khelnā, v. n. To act (a play), to imitate, to mimick. بهگت هونا bhagat-honā, v. n. To be initiated as a devotee, to be affi- liated to a religious order. (This is peculiar to the low tribes. The initiation consists in putting a necklace of beads round the neck, and marking a circle on the forehead. After which, the initiated person is bound to refrain from the use of spirituous liquors, flesh, &c.).

برنا barnā H v. n. To burn. See بلنا balnā.

بهچکنا bhachak-nā S̱. v. n. To be astonished or amazed.
