بيطار bait̤ār A s. m. A horse doctor, a farrier.

بانٿ bānṭ S̱. s. m. 1. (from वंटनं) Share, dis- tribution. 2. (वंटक) A weight (i. e. the standard by which things are weighed). 3. Food given to a cow while she is milked. بانٿ چونٿ bānṭ chonṭ, Share, distribution.

بد bid S̱. (विल A hole) s. f. A little pit into which children in play endeavour to throw balls or marbles.

بلونت bal-want S (Sans. plur. बलवन्तः) adj. Powerful, strong, able-bodied. See بلوان.

برهمچاري ब्रह्मचारी brahmachārī S s. m. A re- ligious student, a Brāhmaṇ from the time of his investiture with the sacerdotal thread till he becomes a householder, a person who continues with his spiritual teacher studying the Veda, a Panḍit learned in the Veda, an ascetick.

بڙه بهس buṛh-bhas H adj. Affecting in old age the manners of youth.

بجرنگي bajrang-ī S̱. s. f. A kind of tilak or mark made on a Hindūʼs forehead with red lead.
