باپ bāp H s. m. Father. باپ کرنا bāp karnā, To consider as a father. باپ ري bāp re (O father!) and باپ ميرا bāp merā (My father!) are exclamations expressive of surprise, grief, &c.

بجهکنا bijhaknā S̱. (from भयचकित Alarmed) v. n. To be alarmed.

بلچنا bilachnā S̱. (वि and r. लक्ष Mark) v. a. To extract, to select (as, passages from books), to pick.

بسو biswa S (विश्व) s. m. The universe, the world.

بهر भर bhar S adj. Full, as much as, as far as, up to, whole, all, bulk, size, every, each. As, بهرمقدور bhar maḳdūr, or مقدوربهر maḳdūr bhar, To the best of oneʼs power, with all oneʼs might; بانس بهر bāns bhar, The height or length of a bamboo; سيربهر ser bhar, A ser; عمربهر uﻌmr bhar, All lifetime. کوس بهر kos bhar, A kos; whereas بهرکوس bhar kos would mean a full kos.

ببري babrī H s. f. 1. Cropped hair, tresses.

بندنبار bandanbār S̱. (from बंधन Binding, and वार Door-way, gate) s. f. A wreath or garland of leaves and flowers suspended across gateways on marriages or publick festivals.

بساهن bisāhan S̱. (वास Smell) s. f. Fetidness, stink.

بڙي baṛī S (वटी) s. f. A dish made of pulse. S̱. H. بڙي ميان baṛe mīyāṅ, s. m. An old man: Sir! (applied to an elderly man).

ببي babai S̱. s. m. 1. (वर्वरा) The seed of a sweet scented herb (Ocymum pilosum. Roxb.). 2. Name of a bird.
