برندا वृंदा brindā S or vr̤indā, s. f. A plant wor- shipped by the Hindūs, commonly called Tulsī. (Ocimum sanctum).

باي گولا bāʼe golā S̱. s. m. See باوگولا bāʼo golā.

بتيا bittiyā S̱. (from بتا bittā for वितस्ति A span) s. m. A dwarf (i. e. a span high).

برهما ब्रह्मा brahmā S s. m. The Deity in the character of Creator, or matter personified. S. برهمانڐ ब्रह्मांड (ब्रह्म Brahm, and अंड an egg, to which the world is likened) brahmānḍ, s. m. 1. The globe, the world. (In creation there are said to have been innumerable Brah- mānḍas). 2. The top of the head.

بيوهار byauhār S̱. or byohār (व्यवहार) s. m. Profession, calling, trade, negociation, transac- tion, practice, custom.

باشد bāshad P aor. third pers. sing. (of باشيدن) May be, will be.

بان bān S̱. 1. s. f. Temper, quality, manners. (Sans. वर्ण Kind, quality). 2. (or vāṇ वाण) s. m. An arrow; a rocket used in battle. 3. The name of an Asur, son of Rājā Bali. 4. (for वान) The high tide in the Indian rivers commonly called the Bore. 5. A kind of rope made of مونج mūnj, used to form the bottoms of beds as well as for other purposes.

بيطار bait̤ār A s. m. A horse doctor, a farrier.

بورا baurā S̱. adj. Mad, insane. See باولا.
