بدهوان बुद्धिवान् buddhi-wān S adj. m. Wise, intelligent.

بک بک bak bak S̱. (see s̱. بک) s. f. Prattle, foolish talk, babble, clack, gabble. بک بک کرنا bak bak karnā, To prattle, to chatter, to gab- ble. (Arab. بق بق).

بهونڐ پيرا bhūnḍ pairā H adj. Unlucky, ill-omened.

بـﮩشتي bihisht-ī P 1. adj. Paradisiacal, celestial. 2. s. m. A water-carrier.

بهنگيرا bhang-erā S̱. s. m. One who sells bhang.

بتسل batsal S̱. adj. See وتسل vatsal.

بهگت bhagat भक्त S̱. s. m. See بهکت bhakt. بهگت کهيلنا bhagat-khelnā, v. n. To act (a play), to imitate, to mimick. بهگت هونا bhagat-honā, v. n. To be initiated as a devotee, to be affi- liated to a religious order. (This is peculiar to the low tribes. The initiation consists in putting a necklace of beads round the neck, and marking a circle on the forehead. After which, the initiated person is bound to refrain from the use of spirituous liquors, flesh, &c.).

برمنا biramnā S̱. (वि and r. रम Rest) v. n. To stop, to remain, to delay.

بسياري bisyār-ī P s. f. Abundance.

برشته birishta P part. pass. (of برشتن) Fried, broiled. S. برشکال वर्षकाल (from वर्ष Rain, and काल Season) barshkāl or varsh̤a-kāla, s. m. The rainy season, the rains.
