بلوالا bal-wālā S̱. (from بل बल) adj. Strong, powerful, able-bodied.

باپ bāp H s. m. Father. باپ کرنا bāp karnā, To consider as a father. باپ ري bāp re (O father!) and باپ ميرا bāp merā (My father!) are exclamations expressive of surprise, grief, &c.

بندهـ बंध bandh S s. m. f. Binding, bandage, bondage, imprisonment. بندهـ مين پڙناياآنا bandh meṅ paṛnā yā ānā, To become a captive.

بندهاٴي bandhāʼī S̱. (from بندهانا) s. f. Bond, binding, fastening.

بسر ba-sar P To an end. بسرآنا ba-sar ānā, v. n. 1. To come to an end, to succeed, to get away from. 2. (برابري کرنا) To contend or vie with (?). بسرجانا ba-sar jānā, v. n. To be finished, to pass away. بسرکرنا ba-sar karnā, v. a. To bring to an end, to finish, accomplish, execute, spend, pass. بسرليجانا ba-sar lejānā, v. a. To bring to an end, to finish, accomplish, execute, acquit oneʼs self of, outstrip. بسرهونا ba-sar honā, v. n. To be finished, ended, spent, or passed.

بدايت badāyat A s. f. Beginning.

بکهري bakhrī H s. f. A cottage, a house.

برهيلا barhelā वराह S̱. s. m. A wild hog. See بڙهيلا baṛhelā.

بيس bais S̱. s. m. 1. (for वैश्य) The third of the four Hindū tribes or varns: see برن. 2. Name of a tribe of Rājpūts. (A prince of that tribe formerly reigned at Daunriākherā. His dominions, which extended over a great part of Oude, on the north bank of the Ganges, are still called Bais-wāṛā). 3. (for वयस्) Age.
