بهيدو bhed-ū S̱. (from भेद) s. A secret-keeper, a confidant.

بهچکنا bhachak-nā S̱. v. n. To be astonished or amazed.

بوز boz P s. m. A cream-coloured horse, white tinged with red or brown horse.

بچرنا bicharnā H v. a. To separate, detail. بچربچرکربولنا bichar bichar kar bolnā, To speak distinctly.

بانات bānāt H s. f. Broad cloth.

بيد वेद bed S or veda, s. m. A Veda, or the Ve- das in the aggregate. The original Veda is be- lieved by the Hindūs to have been revealed by Brahmā, and to have been preserved by tra- dition until it was arranged in its present order by a sage, who thence obtained the surname of Vyāsa or Vedavyāsa, that is, compiler of the Vedas. He distributed the Indian scripture into four parts, which are severally entitled ऋग् Rig, यजुष् Yajush̤, साम Sāma, and अथर्व Atharva; and each of them bears the common name of Veda.

بنج banij S̱. or banaj (वाणिज्य) s. m. Trade, traffick, merchandise, commerce.

بلاق bulāḳ H s. m. An ornament worn on the nose.

بذل baẕl A s. m. Expense, gift, munificence. بذل هونا baẕl honā, To be expended.

بيترا baitarā S̱. (from वायु Wind, and r. तृ Cross) s. f. Dry ginger.
