انمنا an-manā S̱. adj. mas. (for उन्मनाः) Thoughtful, agi- tated, regretting, out of humour, sad.

آيت āyat A s. f. A sign, a mark; a verse or paragraph of the ḳurʼān contained between signs which serves as stops. آيت مطلق āyat-i-mut̤laḳ, A stop (in grammar) used in the ḳurʼān only, and equivalent nearly to a comma.

اوجڙنا ūjaṛnā S̱. (see اجڙنا) v. n. To become de- solate.

اپاتر अपात्र a-pātr S adj. Incapable, unfit, unworthy.

اچپلي achpalī S̱. f. (from चपल) adj. Rest- less, inconstant, playful, brisk, wanton.

اجالا ujālā S̱. (उत् and r. ज्वल Shine) 1. s. m. Splendour, brightness, light. 2. adj. See اجل ujjal.

ادمبر उदुम्बर udumbar S s. m. 1. The glo- merous fig-tree (Ficus glomerata). 2. A sect of Brāhmans.

آبشار āb-shār P s. m. f. A waterfall, cascade, cataract.

آگار आगार āgār S s. m. A house.

اگوائي agwāʼī S̱. (from آگ Fire, q. v.) s. f. Conflagration.
