بيٿهالنا baiṭhālnā S̱. (caus. of بيٿهنا q. v.) v. a. To cause to sit down, seat, set, settle, place, station, apply, plant, calm, becalm.

بس باس bas bās S̱. (r. वस Dwell) s. m. Abode, residence.

بتي battī वर्त्ति S̱. s. f. 1. A candle. 2. A wick, a match, stick (of sealingwax, &c.). 3. A tent or bougie. See باتي.

بندش bandish P (from بستن) s. f. 1. The act or state of tying, binding. 2. Construction, inven- tion, contrivance, artifice, preparing a false story, collusion, making up a false account of a trans- action; cabal, intrigue, conspiracy. 3. Elegance (of style). بندش باندهنا bandish bāndhnā, v. a. To contrive, plot together, cabal, conspire. H. P. بندکشاد bind-kushād, s. m. Semen cito emit- tens morbo affectus.

باج bāj H (perhaps for Pers. باز Back, &c.) post- pos. In the separation or absence, besides. Walī says, تجهـ باج جان ودل کون نشاط وطرب نهين In thy absence there is neither joy nor mirth for my soul and heart.

بهسکنا bhasaknā H v. n. To fall.

برسوڙي barasauṛī वार्षिक S̱. s. f. An annual tax or rent.
