باندهنا bāndhnā बंधन S̱. v. a. To bind, tie, fasten, shut, stop water, embank; to invent, contrive, devise, stop, pack, aim, build, compose, form, put, settle.

برام bi-rām S (वि and r. रम् Be quiet or at rest) adj. Uneasy, unquiet, agitated.

بيري bīrī वीटिका S̱. s. f. 1. A betel leaf made up with spices, &c. (See پان). 2. The colour which adheres to the lips from chewing betel.

باتي bātī वर्त्ति S̱. s. f. 1. A candle. 2. The wick of a lamp. 3. A tent or bougie put into a wound to keep it open.

بوبا bobā H s. m. 1. Goods and chattels, proper- ty. 2. A bundle.

بندش bandish P (from بستن) s. f. 1. The act or state of tying, binding. 2. Construction, inven- tion, contrivance, artifice, preparing a false story, collusion, making up a false account of a trans- action; cabal, intrigue, conspiracy. 3. Elegance (of style). بندش باندهنا bandish bāndhnā, v. a. To contrive, plot together, cabal, conspire. H. P. بندکشاد bind-kushād, s. m. Semen cito emit- tens morbo affectus.

برج ब्रज braj S s. m. Name of a district, containing the several villages of Mathurā, Gokul, Brindāvan, &c. being about 168 miles in circum- ference.

بقعه buḳʼaﻌ A s. m. A house, a place. P.A. بقفا ba-ḳafā, In the back or rear. P. A. بقلت ba-ḳillat, With scarcity.

برگشتگي bar-gashta-gī P s. f. Retrocession, inver- sion, turning back, apostasy, abjuration.
