اسلامي islām-ī A s. m. f. A Muhammadan, a believer. (Pers. plur. اسلامیان islāmiyān).

ايمان īmān A (inf. iv. of امن Heb. Trusted, was secure) s. m. Faith, belief, religion, conscience, credit. ايمان دار īmān-dār, Faithful, conscientious, honest, trusty, believer. ايمان داري īmān-dār-ī, s. f. Faithfulness, conscien- tiousness, honesty, fidelity, trustiness. A. P. ايماني īmān-ī, adj. Of the faith.

انتفاع intifāﻌ A (inf. viii. of نفع) s. m. Profit, advantage.

اشفاق ashfāḳ A s. plur. (of شفق) Kindnesses, favours, compassion, tenderness.

ادرشٿ अदृष्ट a-dr̤ish̤ṭ S adj. Unseen, un- foreseen: s. m. Casual and unforeseen danger, fortune, luck.

اگاڙي agāṛī S̱. (from अग्र The forepart, &c.) adv. Before, in front, forwards, further on, onward. s. f. The ropes with which a horseʼs fore feet are tied, the front, forepart. اگاڙي مارنا agāṛī mārnā, To attack in front, to defeat a hostile army in pitched battle. اگاڙي پچهاڙي لگانا agāṛī pichhāṛī lagānā, To confine (especially, a horse).

اداسي udās-ī S̱. 1. s. f. Solitude, loneliness, sadness, dejection. 2. (उदासी) adj. Lonely, retired, dejected. 3. (उदासीन) s. m. An hermit, anchorite; a class of faḳīrs.

آگوا āgūʼā S̱. (see آکو āgū) s. m. A pommel.

اساتهہ a-sāth S̱. (असार्थ Without society, i. e. good society) adj. Addicted to bad company.

آنت ānt S̱. (अंत्र antra) s. f. Entrails, gut, intestine, tripe. آنت آونا ānt-āʼonā, v. n. To be afflicted with the coming down of the rectum. آنت گرنا ānt-girnā, v. n. To void white glu- tinous stools.
