بگهنها baghnah ā व्याघ्रनख S. s. m. Name of a medicinal herb with a fragrant root.

بسوکرما biswakarmā S (विश्वकर्मा i. e. विश्व Universe, and कर्मा Work, act) s. m. The arti- ficer of the gods, the Indian vulcan.

بهٿکنا bhaṭaknā H v. n. To go astray, to stray, wander, miss the right path, lose (the way).

بن bin S̱. (विना) adv. Without, except, un- less, not. بن جاني bin-jāne, With- out knowing, unwittingly. بن داني پاني bin dāne pānī, Without eating and drinking. بن ماري شهيدهونا bin māre shahīd honā, or بن تيغ شهيدهونا bin teg̠ẖ shahīd honā, To be slain without a wound (are expressions applied to lovers). بن ماري توبه کرنا bin māre tauba karnā, To fear without a cause.

بل bal S s. m. 1. (बल) A name of the elder brother of Kr̤ish̤ṇā. 2. Power, strength. بل بي bal be, interj. Bravo! 3. or bali (बलि) Name of the king of Pātāla or the infernal re- gions. 4. A sacrifice, an offering. بل جانا bal jānā or بل بل جانا bal bal jānā, To be sacrificed.

بيجابرکهنڐ bījābarkhanḍ विजनवरखंड S̱. s. m. A forest.

بطيخ bit̤t̤īḵẖ A s. m. A muskmelon. P. A. بظاهر ba-z̤āhir, In appearance, on the outside, externally.

بهوتا bhotā H adj. Blunt, dull.

بالاوپست bālā o past P Above and below, i. e. the heavens above and the earth beneath.
