واڙ वाट wāṛ S (An enclosed piece of ground, a garden, &c.) A termination in compos. denoting place or en- closure; as, ستيواڙ satī-wāṛ, The place where a ستي satī is burned; پهولواڙي phūl-wāṛī, A flower- garden.

وقار waḳār A (from وقر Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. 1. Dignity, estimation. 2. Steadiness, constancy. 3. Modesty, gravity, mildness, honour, reputation.

و वि wi S prep. Denoting disunion, separation, division, distinction; away, apart, distinct. It is the reverse of सम्.

ويتنا wetnā H adj. So much, that-much.

وجد wajd A s. m. 1. Ecstacy, rapture, excessive love, transport. 2. Opulence. 3. Discovering, procuring, finding.

وصل waṣl A s. m. Meeting, union, conjunction, connexion. وصل کرنا waṣl karnā, To unite, paste, conjoin, annex, attach, cement.

وقت waḳt A s. m. Time, season, opportunity. (met.) Adversity. Plur. اوقات auḳāt, s. f. Times, &c. وقت بوقت waḳt ba-waḳt, From time to time. وقت بيوقت waḳt be-waḳt, In season or out of season, a time that admits not of delay, constantly, perpetually. وقت پر waḳt par, At (proper) time, seasonably, betimes. وقت پڙنا waḳt paṛnā, To suffer misfortunes, to be distressed. وقت کاٿنا waḳt kāṭnā, To pass away the time. وقت کي وقت waḳt ke waḳt, At all times. وقت نازک waḳt-i-nāzuk, Deli- cate times. وقت نا وقت waḳt nā waḳt, Occa- sionally, without any stated time. وقت ياب waḳt-yāb, Finding an opportunity.

وين wīṅ H adv. (dakh.) See وهين wuhīṅ.

وانچهت वांछित vānchhit S adj. Wished, de- sired, longed for. P. A. واويلا wā wailā (dakh. wā wīlā, Harris) s. m. Lamentation, bewailing; interj. Alas! ah!

وهان wahāṅ H (from وه That, and Sans. स्थान Place) adv. There, thither, yonder. وهان کا وهان wahāṅ kā wahāṅ, Everywhere.
