ونتا wantā S̱. m. A particle in compos. See وان वान् wān.

ولي walī A s. m. 1. A prince, lord, master, friend, friend of God, saint. 2. A servant, a slave. ولي عہد walī-aﻌhd, 1. An heir. 2. A locum tenens, vicegerent. ولي عہدي walī-aﻌhd-ī, 1. ويران wairān P or wīrān, adj. Desolate, laid waste, depopulated, ruined. ويران کرنا wīrān karnā, To lay waste, depopulate, desolate.

وحش waḥsh A s. m. A wild beast.

ودود wadūd A part. (from ودّ) Loving. (An epithet of the Deity).

وثق was̤ḳ A s. m. Confidence, trusting in.

ور war P 1. (contract. of واگر) And if. 2. (Add- ed to nouns, implies) Possessing, enjoying, having; as, جانور jān-war, An animal, a beast, a bird.

واشده wā-shuda P (part. pass. of واشدن) adj. Opened, expanded, vanished, dispersed.
