وقفيت waḳf-īyat A s. f. The book in which le- gacies for pious uses are registered.

وتنا wutnā H or witnā, adj. That much. See اتنا utnā.

والد wālid A (part. act. of ولد Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A father.

وارنا wārnā H v. a. 1. To surround, to encircle, to go round. 2. To offer (in sacrifice, &c.). واري پهيري هونا wārī pherī honā, To go round any body (as a sign of being an offering or sa- crifice for his welfare), to devote oneʼs self for any one. (A practice chiefly of women).

وهم wahm A s. m. Imagination, idea, fancy, conjecture, opinion, anxiety, apprehension.

ويسيا वेश्या vesyā S s. f. A harlot, a prostitute.
