وجہا wajhā A. s. m. Allowance, pension, salary.

وزير wazīr A (from وزر) s. m. A minister of state. وزيرالممالک wazīru-l-mamālik or وزيرالوزرا wa- zīru-l-wuzarā, The grand wazīr, prime minister.

وا wā P 1. adj. Open. 2. adv. Again, back. 3. prep. With; as وا اوگفتم for با اوگفتم I spoke with him. 4. interj. An expression of pain. واشد wā-shud, s. f. or واشدن wā-shudan, s. Becoming open, expanding, opening. واکرنا wā- karnā, v. a. To open. وامانده wā-mānda, (1.) Tired, fatigued. (2.) Remaining behind. (Plur. وا ماندگان). واهونا wā honā, v. n. والا wālā H m. Denotes (in compos.) agent, doer, keeper, man, inhabitant, master, lord, possessor, owner; as, رکهوال يا والا raḵẖ-wāl, or -wālā, A keeper; ناووالا nāw-wālā, Boatman; دلي وال يا والا dillī-wāl, or -wālā, In- habitant of Dillī; گهروالا ghar-wālā, Master or keeper of a house; لکهني والا likhne-wālā, Writer; هوني والا hone-wālā, Becoming, about to be.

ورد ward A s. m. 1. A rose, a flower. 2. The leaf of a flower, a petal. ¶ wird, s. m. 1. Access, approach. 2. Daily use, practice, task; a portion of the ḳurʼān fixed for reading at a certain time. 3. Continual motion or employ- ment. 4. A halting place, stage. ورد کرنا wird karnā, To repeat.

وجود wujūd A (from وجد) s. m. 1. Invention. 2. Existence, essence, being, substance, body. 3. Penis. باوجود bā-wujūd or باوجودي bā-wu- jūde, With the existence, notwithstanding.

وهي wah-ī H or wuh-ī, pron. He himself, that very, &c.: see وهين wuhīṅ.
