وکالت wakālat A (from وکل analog. to Heb. and Chald. ) s. f. Embassy, agency, deputation, delegation, commission.

وعده waﻌda A (from وعد Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A promise, vow, agreement, bargain, assigna- tion, appointment. وعده خلاف waﻌda-ḵẖilāf, 1. A false contract. 2. A person who does not keep his promise. وعده خلافي waﻌda-ḵẖilāf-ī, s. f.
