نلوا nal-ūʼā S̱. (नल A reed) s. m. 1. A tube, a joint of bamboo to convey letters in. 2. Straw.

ني ne S̱. A particle affixed to the name of the agent with a transitive verb in a past tense.

ناگ नाग nāg S s. m. 1. A snake (Coluber naja) and a sort of demigod shaped as a ser- pent. ناگ بهاشا nāg-bhāsh̤ā, A Prākr̤it lan- guage said to be used by the serpentine race who inhabit Pātāl. ناگ پنچمي nāg-pancha- mī, Name of a Hindū holyday, the 5th of Srāwaṇ, sukl-paksh̤, on which day they worship a snake to procure blessings on their children. ناگ پاس (नागपाश) nāg-pās, or ناگ پهانس nāg-phāṅs, s. f. نباه nibāh निर्वाह S̱. s. m. 1. Accomplish- ment, performance, sufficiency, supply, main- tenance. 2. Performing an engagement, keeping, guarding.
