نيلاٴي nīl-āʼī S̱. (from नील) s. f. Blueness.

نتهنا nath-nā S̱. 1. s. m. A nostril, a ring for the nose. نتهني چڙهانا nathne chaṛhānā, To be angry or displeased. 2. (see ناتهنا) v. n. To have the nose pierced (a bullock).

نچهل nichhal H adj. (dakh.) Pure, clear (water).

ناکڙا nākṛā S̱. (from नक्र Nose) s. m. An inflam- mation in the nose.

نوبت naubat A (from نوب Heb. and Aram. ) s. f. 1. A period, time, turn; access (of fever, &c.) fit. 2. Relieving guard, keeping watch. 3. An accident. 4. Opportunity, occasion, vi- cissitude, degree, pitch, weight. 5. Instruments of musick sounding at the gate of a great man at certain intervals. نوبت جهڙنا naubat jhaṛ- nā, v. n. To be sounded the naubat. نوبت خانه naubat-ḵẖāna, A guard-house. A. P. نوبتي naubat-ī, s. m. He who beats the نوبت naubat (as explained at signif. 5. above).

ناندهنا nāndhnā H v. a. To begin.

نکهريکهـ nakh-rekh नखरेखा S̱. s. f. The marks left by the nails, a scratch.

نٿنا naṭnā H v. a. To deny.

نسيم nasīm A (from نسم Heb. and Aram. ) s. f. m. A gentle zephyr, fragrant air, a breeze, gale. (Plur. نسايم nasāʼịm). نسيم سحر nasīm-i-saḥar, The morning breeze.

نيل بڙي nīl baṛī नीलवटी S̱. s. f. A lump of indigo. S̱. P. نيلک नीलक nīlak, 1. adj. Blue (stained or died blue). 2. s. m. One of the terms used in bīj gaṇit as we use the letters a, b, x, y, in algebra.
