نکٿا nakṭā S̱. (from ناک Nose, and part. pass. of کاٿنا) 1. adj. Nose-clipt, noseless. 2. s. m. A rogue.

نمکيني namkīn-ī P s. f. Saltness, sweetness, agreeableness.

نيرنگ nairang P s. m. 1. Deceit, trick, pre- tence, evasion, incantation, magick, sorcery. 2. A miracle, any thing new. نيرنگ ساز nai- rang-sāz, A magician, sorcerer. نيرنگ سازي nairang-sāz-ī, s. f. Magick, sorcery.

نمد namad P s. m. Felt, or a coarse woollen cloth formed without weaving, used in coverings for horses or in garments to keep off rain. 2. Membrum virile. نمد پوش namad-posh, Clothed in felt. نمد پوشي namad- posh-ī, s. f. The being clothed in felt, &c. نمد مو namad-mū, adj. Having hair like namad.

نگياني ni-gyān-ī S̱. adj. (dakh.) Weak in mind, imprudent: see غبي g̠ẖabī.

نسنديه nissandeh S or ni-sandeh (निः for निर् prep. and संदेह Doubt) adj. Free from doubt, undoubted. adv. Undoubtedly.

نفع nafﻌ A s. m. Profit, gain, advantage, in- terest. نفع کرنا nafﻌ karnā, To profit, to benefit.

نگوڙا nigoṛā (lit. H without feet, from نه priv. and گوڙ The foot) s. m. Wretch, wight.

نزهت nuzʼhat A (from نزه) s. f. 1. Verdure, freshness, pleasure, delight, cheerfulness. 2. Distance. 3. Integrity. 4. Ornament.
