نيار nyār S̱. (न्याद Food) s. m. Forage, fodder, food of cattle.

نکڙا nakṛā S̱. (from नक्र Nose) s. m. An inflam- mation in the nose. See ناکڙا nākṛā.

نرگن nir-guṇ S (निर् prep. and गुण Quality, skill, a string) adj. 1. Without passions or human qualities (an epithet of God). 2. With- out estimable qualities, worthless, unskilful. 3. Unstrung (as, a necklace).

نسا निशा nisā S s. f. Night. نسچر nis-char, s. m. A prowler: see نساچر beneath. نسچراٴي nis- char-āʼī, s. f. Prowling. نسچراٴي کرنا nis-char-āʼī karnā, To prowl. نساچر निशाचर nisā-char, 1. A demon. 2. A robber, a thief. 3. A noc- turnal animal, an animal that watches and feeds by night. نساکر يا نساناتهـ निशाचर nisā-kar, or निशानाथ nisā-nāth, The moon.

نعال niʼāﻌl A s. plur. of نعل naﻌl, q. v.

نيبيد naibed नैवेद्य S̱. s. m. Food consecrated to the deity, an oblation.

نيمن nīman H adj. 1. Strong. 2. Well-finished. 3. Solid.

نگڙگهٿ nigaṛ-ghaṭ H adj. (dakh. i. q. شوخ چشم) Unceremonious, at liberty, bold, impudent (?).

نکنٿک ni-kanṭak S (निःकंटक) adj. 1. Hap- py, without enmity or opposition. 2. Plain, easy.

ناونا nāwnā नमन S̱. v. a. 1. To bend down- wards, to bow. 2. To cause to submit to, to cause to stoop.
