نہارمنہہ nahār-muṅh S̱. (न neg. and आहार Food, with मुख Mouth) adj. Without eating.

نوماسا nau-mās-ā S̱. (from नव Nine, and मास Month) s. m. Name of a feast given in the ninth month of pregnancy.

نفري nafar-ī A. s. f. 1. Service, profession, trade (particularly, of a groom). 2. A giant, demon.

نيگي جوگي neg-ī jogī H Tenants and dependants, to whom it is customary to give the neg, q. v. P. S. نيل nīl (नील) s. m. Indigo, blue. نيل يا نيل کا ماٿهہ بگڙنا nīl, or nīl kā māṭh bigaṛnā (lit.) A vat of indigo being spoiled, is used (met.) 1. To express the persecutions of fortune.
