نه nuh P adj. Nine. (Sans. नवन्).

ناتهـ नाथ nāth S s. m. 1. A master, a husband, a lord. 2. Often used as an affix to the names of Jogīs; as, گورکهناتهـ gorakh-nāth. 3. s. f. The string in a bullockʼs nose. 4. A seton.

نراس nir-ās S̱. (निराशा) adj. Hopeless.

نرگس nargis P s. f. (dakh. s. m.) 1. A narcissus. 2. (met.) The eye of a mistress. نرگس شـﮩـلا nargis-i-shahlā, A narcissus. نرگس مخمور nar- gis-i-maḵẖmūr, An epithet applied to a mistressʼs eyes (intoxicated Narcissus).

نيوڙهنا neʼoṛhnā H v. a. To bow, to bend. See نہوڙنا nihūṛnā.

ننداسا nindās-ā S̱. adj. Sleepy, drowsy.

نہلانا nahlānā S̱. (caus. of نہانا q. v.) v. a. To cause to bathe.

نخل naḵẖl A s. m. A date tree, a palm tree (and often used for a young tree of any kind), a plant. نخل بند naḵẖl-band, s. m. A gardener, a maker of artificial trees and fruits of wax. نخلبندي naḵẖl-band-ī, A plantation.

نخرا naḵẖrā P s. m. Trick, artifice, joke, wag- gery, coquetry, deceit, sham, pretence. نخراتلا naḵẖrā-tillā, Coquetry, blan- dishments. نخره باز naḵẖra-bāz, Affected. نخره بازي naḵẖra-bāz-ī, s. f. Affectation, coquetry.

نوابي nawwāb-ī A. s. f. 1. Deputyship. 2. A kind of cloth. adj. Relating to a nabob.
