ننداس nindās S̱. (from निद्रा Sleep, and आशा Desire) s. f. Drowsiness.

نوح nūḥ Heb. n. prop. Noah. (Erroneously stated by Musalmān authors to be so called from his lamentations on account of the obsti- nacy of mankind who rejected his admonitions; but, really from Heb. To rest, to be com- forted or freed from pain. Gen. V. 29.).

نان nān P (Sans. अन्न Food) s. f. Bread, a loaf. نان آبي nān-i-āb-ī, Bread which has been kneaded with water. نان با nān-bā or نان باٴي nān-bāʼī (prop. نان بايع) A baker. نان پز nān- paz, A baker. نان پزي nān-paz-ī, s. f. The trade of a baker, baking. نان خطاٴي nān-ḵẖa- t̤āʼī, s. f. A kind of sweetmeat. نان روغني nān-i-raug̠ẖan-ī, Bread mixed with boiled but- ter. نان نعمت nān-i-niﻌmat, A kind of bread. نان نـﮩاري nān-i-nahārī, Breakfast.

نرني निर्णय nirṇai S adj. Fixed, established, certain, appointed. s. m. Ascertainment.

نورس nau-ras P adj. Young, fresh, tender, recent.

نسبت nisbat A s. f. 1. Relation, affinity, re- specting, regarding, attribute, reference. 2. (dakh.) The ceremony of betrothing: see مانگني māngnī. نسبت کرنا nisbat karnā, To refer, to attribute.

نيچو nīchū S̱. adv. See نيچي nīche.

نشر nashr A (Heb. and Aram. Chald. ) s. m. 1. Spreading (as, a carpet). 2. Diffusing, publishing (news). 3. Life, vivifying, raising from the dead.
