نيل بڙي nīl baṛī नीलवटी S̱. s. f. A lump of indigo. S̱. P. نيلک नीलक nīlak, 1. adj. Blue (stained or died blue). 2. s. m. One of the terms used in bīj gaṇit as we use the letters a, b, x, y, in algebra.

Half-roasted (meat). نيم شب nīm-shab, Midnight. نيم شبي nīm-shab-ī, adj. Of or relating to midnight. نيم کشت nīm-kusht or نيم کشته nīm-kushta, Half-killed. نيم گقته nīm-gufta, Half-uttered. نيم مرده nīm- murda, Half-dead.

نچوڙوا nichoṛwā H adj. Rapacious.

نرالا nirālā निरालय S̱. adj. 1. Apart, aloof, retired, lonely, private. 2. Pure, mere, simple, unmixed, unalloyed. 3. Rare, strange, odd, extraordinary. نرالي nirāle, or نرالي مين nirāle meṅ, Apart, in private.

نوک nok P s. f. 1. A bill, beak, nib. 2. End, point, tip, angle. نوک جهوک nok-jhok, s. f. Pulling and hauling. نوک چوک nok-chok, s. f. Talking by innuendos. نوک دار nok-dār, adj. Pointed. نوک زبان nok-i-zabān, By heart.

نواقل nawāḳil A s. plur. (from نقل) Histories, tales, traditions.

نانک nānak H n. prop. Name of a faḳīr, founder of the sect of Sikhs. نانک پنتهي يا شاهي يا نانک متا nānak-panthī, or shāhī, or nānak- matā, s. m. A Sikh, or follower of Nānak.
