مليح malīḥ A (from ملح Heb. Chald. and Aram. ) adj. Agreeable, sweet, charming, beautiful.

مارب mārab A (from ارب) s. m. The time or place of any necessary business. ¶ maʼārib, s. plur. (of ماربة) Necessary things, necessity.

محرميت maḥram-īyat A. s. f. The state of being admitted into a sacred place.

مکهڙا mukhṛā मुख S̱. s. m. The mouth, the face.

ميگهـ मेघ megh S (Pers. ميغ) s. m. 1. A cloud. 2. Name of a rāg or musical mode appropriated to the wet season and last watch of the night before the first dawn of day, and said to have proceeded from the head of Brahmā, or else from the sky. ميکهـ برن megh-baran (मेघवर्ण) adj. Of the colour of the clouds. ميگهپتي मेघपति megh-pati, s. m. 1. Lord of the clouds. 2. A name of Indra. ميگهراج मेघराज megh-rāj, s. m. The thunderer.

ملاح mallāḥ A (adj. superl. of ملح Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. 1. A boatman, a sailor, mariner, waterman. 2. A manufacturer of salt.

مسير masīr A s. Going, walking, travelling.

مشروع mashrūﻌ A (part. pass. of شرع Heb. ) 1. adj. Initiated, begun, commenced. 2. Le- gal, just, prescribed by law. 3. s. m. A kind of cloth made of silk and cotton mixed (dressed in which it is lawful for Musalmāns to pray: that not being allowed in cloth entirely of silk).
