متبدل mutabaddil A (part. act. V. of بدل) adj. Changing alternately, alternate, interchangeable, inverting.

مورچها मूर्छा mūrchhā S s. f. A swoon, stupe- faction. مورچها آنا mūrchhā ānā, or مورچها کهانا mūrchhā khānā, To swoon.

مذاکره muẕākara A (inf. III. of ذکر) s. m. Conference, conversation. (Plur. مذاکرات).

مکري mukrī H s. f. A kind of short poem of frequent use in the Braj dialect, the peculia- rities of which are these. It consists of four lines, each composed of four trochees. In the three first the speaker, a female, appears to talk of her lover; but, on the question being put by a friend, applies the whole to some other object. Hence the name from mukarnā, To deny. The following is an example. باٿ چلت مروانچراگہي ميري سني نه اپني کہي ناکچهہ موسون جهگڙا جهانٿا کيون سکهي سجن ناسکهي کانٿا Bāṭ chalat miro anchrā gahe; merī sune na apnī kahe. Nā kachhu mo soṅ jhagṛā jhānṭā; kyūṅ sakhī sajjan? nā sakhī kānṭā. As I went along the road, he seized my robe; neither heard what I said, nor made any reply. In short we had not the smallest dispute. Who, friend, your lover? no, friend, a thorn. A. P. مکري makr-ī, adj. Deceitful.

منانا manānā S̱. (causal of ماننا मानन) v. a. 1. مجـﮩول majʼhūl A (part. pass. of جـﮩل) 1. Un- known, little known. 2. (subst.) Passive voice. 3. Applied to the letters و and ي when the former has the sound of o in bone, and the lat- ter that of a in name. 4. (In Hind.) Indolent, lazy, idle. مجـﮩول النسب majʼhūlu-n-nasab, adj. Unknown of lineage. مجـﮩول مطلق majʼhūl- i-mut̤laḳ, Very indolent or useless.

مدهر madhur S m. (मधुर) adj. Sweet.

مگها मघा maghā S s. m. Name of the tenth mansion of the moon, a Leonis, Regulus.
