مخير muḵẖaiyir A (part. act. II. of خير) adj. 1. Bountiful, charitable, liberal. 2. Left to free choice, indifferent, giving an option of two things.

مذکور maẕkūr A (part. pass. of ذکر) 1. adj. Fore- mentioned, aforesaid, said, mentioned, remem- bered. 2. s. m. Mention, discourse. مذکور کرنا maẕkūr karnā, To mention. Plur. مذکورات maẕkūrāt, Discourses, relations, matters men- tioned.

مصلحت maṣlaḥat A (inf. of صلح) s. f. 1. The what is right, fit or correct, convenience, ex- pedience, an expedient, fitness. 2. Counsel, advice. 3. Affair. مصلحت کرني maṣlaḥat karnī, To consult, to advise, to counsel, to conspire, to combine. مصلحتا maṣlaḥatā or مصلحتاً maṣ- laḥataṉ, adv. Advisedly, expediently.

متبسم mutabassim A (part. act. V. of بسم To smile, Chald. To be sweet or pleasant) adj. Smiling, laughing, risible.

ميلنا melnā S̱. 1. v. a. (perhaps, for पेलन) To thrust in, stuff in, cram, penetrate, force in. 2. v. n. See ملنا milnā.

مقتضي muḳtaẓī A (part. act. VIII. of قضي) adj. Exacting, requiring, urging. ¶ muḳtaẓạ̄ (part. pass.) See مقتضا muḳtaẓā.

مضراب miẓrāb A (from ضرب) s. f. The instru- ment with which any thing is struck, the quill with which a musical instrument is struck.

مضمون maẓmūn A (part. pass. of ضمن) s. m. Contents (of a letter, &c.), import, sense, sig- nification, meaning, tenour.

مراد murād A (part. pass. IV. of رود Heb. ) s. f. Desire, wish, intention, design, purport, inclination. (Plur. مرادات).

ملمعه mulammaʼaﻌ A s. m. Gilded (thing); spe- ciousness, imposition.
