متعصب mutaʼaﻌṣṣib A (part. act. V. of عصب) adj. Partial, bigoted, superstitious, prejudiced.

معقوله maﻌḳūl-a A s. m. The understood, the in- telligible.

منخرف munḥarif A (part. act. VII. of حرف Heb. ) adj. Changed, inverted, turned, de- clining or turning from; (subst.) A trapezium (in geometry): an apostate.

مـﮩموز mahmūz A (part. pass. of همز) adj. Ham- zated, viz. (ا or و or ي) marked with hamza (the letter being then, in Arabic, radical).

مـﮩوا mahūʼā S̱. or mahuʼā (मधूक) s. m. Name of a tree (Bassia latifolia) bearing flowers which are sweet, and from which a spirituous liquor is distilled. The nuts afford an oil used instead of butter.

مالگذار māl-guẕār P s. m. A tenant, a subject, a landholder, one paying rent or taxes.

معنقه maﻌnaḳa A (prop. miﻌnaḳa, noun of in- strum. from عنق Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. A collar or any thing similar round the neck.
