منہہ muṅh मुख S̱. s. m. 1. Mouth, face, countenance, presence, aspect, orifice. 2. Re- spect, complaisance. 3. (met.) Power, fitness, qualification, pretence, ability. منہہ اترجانا muṅh utar-jānā, To have the face shrunk or withered by weakness, and emaciation. منہہ اکهري muṅh akhrī, adj. Verbal. منہامنہہ muṇh-ā-muṅh, adj. Brimful. منہہ آنا muṅh ānā, Salivation. منہہ اندهيرا muṅh andherā, 1. Twilight. 2. Evening. 3. Dusk, obscure. منہہ بارنا muṅh bārnā, To refrain. منہہ بانا muṅh bānā, To open the mouth, to gape. منہہ بگاڙنا muṅh bigāṛnā, To frown, to make faces. منہہ بگڙنا muṅh bigaṛnā, 1. To be displeased. 2. To have the taste blunted or depraved. منہہ بنانا muṅh banānā, To make mouths or faces, to fashion the face. منہہ بند کرنا muṅh band karnā, To hold oneʼs tongue. منہہ بولا muṅh-bolā, adj. Nominal, in name or appellation. منہہ بولا بهاٴي muṅh-bolā bhāʼī, or منہہ بولي بہن muṅh-bolī- bahan, An intimate friend (lit. one called a brother or sister). منہہ بهري muṅh-bharī, s. f. A bribe, a sop. منہہ پانا muṅh pānā, 1. To get into oneʼs good graces. 2. To presume on the favour of another. منہہ پرفاخته اڙجانا muṅh par fāḵẖta uṛ jānā, To change colour.

معاوضت muʼāﻌwaẓat A s. f. (inf. III. of عوض) Retaliating, returning like for like, substitution, exchange.

ملاحت malāḥat A (from ملح) s. f. 1. Being salt. 2. Elegancy. 3. Beauty, excellence.

معاد maʼāﻌd A (noun of place from عود) s. f. Place of return; resurrection, the life to come.

مـﮩاور mahāwar H s. m. Lac, the red animal die so called extracted from lac insects.

مسلح musallaḥ A (part. pass. II. of سلح Heb. and Aram. ) adj. Armed for war, in armour.

منسلک munsalik A (part. act. VII. of سلک) adj. Threaded, strung (as, pearls), being drawn (one thing in another).

مقصد maḳṣad A (from قصد) s. m. Intention, de- sign, meaning, purpose, purport, object, aim, scope, desire, wish. (Plur. مقاصد).

ملسوت malsūt H s. (dakh.) Crane (for raising goods), cock (of a cistern: Harris).

مثنيٰٰٰ mus̤annạ̄ A (part. pass. II. of ثني Heb. ) 1. s. m. A copy, duplicate, the second. 2. adj. Double, binary, dual, of the dual number.
