مسلنا masalnā म्रक्षण S̱. v. a. To bruise, to crush, to break with the hand.

منيف munīf A (part. act. IV. from نوف or نيف Heb. and Aram. ) adj. Eminent, exalted, noble, sublime.

موج mauj A s. f. 1. A wave, surge. 2. Whim, caprice. موج آجاني mauj ā-jānī, An imagina- tion to come into the mind. موج خيز mauj- ḵẖez, adj. Waving, billowing. موج مارنا mauj mārnā, v. a. To billow, to wave; (met.) is applied to express self enjoyment without restraint. Mu- hammad Baḳā says: سيل سرشک اپنا جب سرباوج ماري طوفان نوح بيٿها گوشي مين موج ماري Sail-i-sarashk apnā jab sar ba-auj māre, t̤ūfān-i-Nūḥ baiṭhā goshe meṅ mauj māre. When the deluge of my tears rises to its height, that of Noah may amuse itself in a corner. موج نسيم mauj-i-nasīm, A cooling squall.

مجيٿهـ majīṭh मंजिष्ठा S̱. s. f. Name of a drug used for dying red. (Rubia manjith: Roxb.).

منڐلا munḍlā मुंडित S̱. adj. Shaved. S̱. منڐلاکار मंडलाकार manḍal-ākār, adj. Round, circular.

متفرقه mutafarriḳa A adj. fem. of متفرق muta- farriḳ, q. v.

معدن maﻌdan A (noun of place from عدن Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. f. A mine.

مماس mamāss A (noun of place from مسّ Heb. and Chald. ) s. Place of contact, tangent.

ملعون malʼūﻌn A (part. pass. of لعن Heb. and Chald. ) adj. Cursed, accursed, excommu- nicated, execrated, driven out of society.
