مسح masʼḥ A (Heb. ) s. m. 1. Drawing the hand over, wiping, washing, cleaning, anointing, a part of the operation of purifying before prayer. 2. Perambulating, travelling.

ميده maida P s. m. Flower (of grain), especially of the purest sort or twice sifted.

موسيقار mūsīḳār P s. A musical instrument made of long and short reeds set together in a tri- angular form, used by dervises or shepherds; pandean pipes: some say the word means a bird with many holes in its beak from which holes various sounds issue.

مدار madār A (noun of place from دور Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. 1. A circumference, a centre, a place of turning or returning. 2. A place where one stops or stands, a station, a seat.

مجيت majīt H adj. 1. Cheap, that which is sold at an under price. 2. Bought at second hand.

مـﮩدي mahdī A s. m. Leader, guide; the name of the twelfth Imām, in the creed of the Shīʼaﻌs, who is still believed by them to be living.

معاقبت muʼāﻌḳabat A (inf. III. of عقب Heb. and Aram. ) s. f. Punishment.

محبوبه maḥbūba A f. (part. pass. of حبّ) adj. Beloved, lovely; (subst.) A sweetheart. محبوب القلوب maḥbūbu-l-ḳulūb, Cordially beloved, amiable.
