مقابا muḳābā A. s. m. A dressing-box or case. See مقابه muḳāba.

مـﮩيري maherī H s. f. The name of a dish, consisting of rice or other grain, boiled in sour milk.

مواخذه muʼāḵẖaẕa A (inf. III. of أخذ Heb. ) s. m. Taking satisfaction, retaliating, chastising, calling to a severe account, reprehension.

مسمار mismār A (noun of instrum. of سمر Heb. and Chald. ) s. m. A nail, peg, pin. مسمارکرنا mismār karnā, To raze, to ruin, to destroy. مسمارهونا mismār honā, To be razed, to be de- stroyed.

مفرق mafriḳ A or mafraḳ (noun of place from فرق Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. The crown of the head (where the hairs separate).

مرکونڐي murkūṅḍī H or muṛkūṅḍī (dakh. i. q. اوندهي منڐي) Head downwards, head reversed(?). مرکونڐي مارنا murkūṅḍī mārnā, v. (dakh.) To take to the bed, to be confined to bed or to be bedrid.

موجبه mūjiba A (part. act. fem. IV. of وجب) s. m. 1. A thing of importance (whether good or bad). 2. The rewards or punishments of eternity. 3. (in logick) An affirmative proposi- tion (opposed to سالبه).

مدح madḥ A s. f. Praise, eulogium, encomium, commendation. مدح خوان madḥ-ḵẖẉān (singing praise) An eulogist, a bard, encomiast.

مناره manāra A (noun of place from نور Heb. ) s. m. A minaret, a turret.

ماضي māẓī A (part. act. of مضو) 1. adj. Past (time). 2. (or فعل ماضي) s. m. Preterite tense. ماضي استمراري māẓī istimrārī, Preterimperfect. ماضي بعيد māẓī baʼīﻌd, Preterpluperfect. ماضي قريب māẓī ḳarīb, Preterperfect. ماضي معطوف عليه māẓī maﻌt̤ūf aﻌlaihi, Past conjunctive par- ticiple.
