مٿهـ muṭh S̱. (from मुष्ठि) s. The fist, blows with the fist, clutch, grasp: see مشت musht. مٿهـ مرد muṭh-mard, s. m. A robber, a ruffian.

مـﮩاجرت muhājarat A (inf. III. of هجر) s. f. Se- paration, distance, desertion, flight, abandoning (a country).

محصول maḥṣūl A (part. pass. of حصل) s. m. Tax, duty, excise, custom, postage, produce of any thing, income, revenue.

معليٰ muaﻌllạ̄ A (part. pass. II. of علو Heb. and and Aram. ) adj. Exalted, high, elevated, eminent, sublime.

مـﮩيلا mahelā H s. f. A food given to horses, consisting of boiled kidney beans (Phaseolus max), a mash.

ميچهنا mīchhnā H v. a. To close the eyes, to shut, to wink.

موافق muwāfiḳ A (part. act. III. of وفق) adj. Con- formable, consonant, congruous, apt, like, ana- logous, fit, agreeing, according, concordant, suiting, favourable, propitious.

مضمن muẓamman A (part. pass. II. of ضمن) adj. Included, comprised.

مـﮩر muhr P or muhur, s. f. 1. A seal. 2. A gold coin. مـﮩربردار muhr-bardār, Keeper of the seal. مـﮩر کرنا muhr karnā, To seal. ¶ mihr, 1. s. f. Love, friendship, affection, kindness. مـﮩرانگيز mihr-angez, Love-exciting, friendly. مـﮩرکش mihr-kash, adj. Loving, affectionate. مـﮩرور mihr-war, adj. Friendly, kind. مـﮩرورزي mihr- warz-ī, s. f. Exercise or practice of friendship. 2. (Sans. मिहिर) s. m. The sun. 3. The name of a Persian month, in which falls the au- tumnal equinox.
