مضحاک miẓʼḥāk A (from ضحک Heb. and ) adj. Laughing, facetious, merry.

مرپچنا mar-pachnā S̱. v. n. To suffer pain, or sor- row; to labour excessively.

مشروع mashrūﻌ A (part. pass. of شرع Heb. ) 1. adj. Initiated, begun, commenced. 2. Le- gal, just, prescribed by law. 3. s. m. A kind of cloth made of silk and cotton mixed (dressed in which it is lawful for Musalmāns to pray: that not being allowed in cloth entirely of silk).

ميسنا mīsnā H (causal of مسنا misnā) v. a. To grind, pulverize, to tweak, to twitch, to rumple, to crumple.

مدارات mudārāt A s. f. (inf. III. of درأ or دري) 1. Humility, humanity, politeness, affability, courtesy. 2. Deceit, circumvention, dissimulation.

مال māl A s. m. 1. Property, wealth, merchan- dise, goods, effects. 2. A prize (in a lottery, &c.). مال خاوند māl-ḵẖāwind, A proprietor. مالدار māl-dār, adj. Wealthy, rich. مالداري māl-dār-ī, s. f. Wealthiness. مال زاده māl-zāda, A son of a whore, a pimp or pander. مال زادي māl-zādī, s. f. A bawd, a whore. مالضامن māl-ẓāmin, A security (for property, or money, in opposition to حاضرضامن ḥāẓir-ẓāmin). مال مردم خور māl-i-mardum-ḵẖor, A consumer of the property of others; one who borrows and never pays. مال مست māl-mast, adj. Purse- proud.

موعظت mauʼiﻌz̤at A (from وعظ Heb. and Aram. ) s. f. An advice, exhortation.

مکروه makrūh A (part. pass. of کره) adj. Hated, odious, abhorred, abominable, detestable, exe- crable, disgusting, obscene. Plur. مکروهات makrūhāt, Disgusting, abominable things, things abhorred or to be avoided. A. H. مکرهاٴيا makr-hāʼiyā, adj. m. Deceitful. A. H. مکرهاٴي makr-hāʼī, adj. f. Deceitful.
