اکهڙنا ukhaṛnā S̱. (उत् and r. खड Divide, tear) v. n. To be rooted up, plucked up or raised up, to slip out (as a bone, &c.). اکهڙنا پکهڙنا ukhaṛna pukhaṛnā, To be plucked or rooted up.

ادار उदार udār S adj. Liberal, generous, mu- nificent.

اشراک ishrāk A (inf. iv. of شرکت) s. m. Parti- cipating, entering into partnership.

اکهاڙا akhāṛā H s. m. A palæstra or place for wrestling, a scene, any place of assembly, a court or circus. اندر کا اکهاڙا indra kā akhāṛā, Indraʼs court.

استسعاد istisʼāﻌd A (inf. x. of سعد Heb. and Ch. Was happy, supported) s. m. Desiring happiness, being fortunate, considering any thing as a happy presage, conceiving well of any thing.

الغوزه alg̠ẖūza A s. m. A whistle, pipe, flagelet.

اون ūn S̱. (ऊर्णा r. ऊर्णु Cover) s. f. Wool. گاڐرآني اون کون بيٿهي چري کپاس gāḍar ānī ūn koṅ baiṭhī chare kapās, I brought the sheep for wool and she is eating up the cotton. (Spoken of any thing done by way of economy, which turns out very expensive, or by which a loss is incur- red.)

استقبال istiḳbāl A (inf. x. of قبل Heb. and Ch. He came in front, he accepted) s. m. 1. En- countering, meeting, the ceremony of meeting and receiving a visitor. 2. Futurity.
