منير munīr A (part. act. IV. of نور Heb. ) adj. Shining, splendid, illuminating, illustrious.

A girdle, zone, belt. منطقة البروج min- t̤aḳatu-l-burūj, The celestial girdle, i. e. the zodiack. منطقه مبروده mint̤aḳa-e-mabrūda, The frigid zone. منطقه محروقه mint̤aḳa-e-maḥrūḳa, The torrid zone. منطقه معتدله mint̤aḳa-e-muﻌ- tadila, The temperate zone.

ملايکه malāʼịka A s. plur. (of ملک malak, Heb. ) Angels.

منہار manuhār S̱. or manuhāri (मनोहारि) s. f. Charming, fascinating, delighting, captivating the mind. S̱. منہاري 1. manihār-ī, s. f. The trade in jewels, &c. 2. man-hārī (मनोहारी from मनस् The mind, and r. हृ Steal) adj. mas. Heart-stealer.

مسلنا masalnā म्रक्षण S̱. v. a. To bruise, to crush, to break with the hand.

مراٴي murāʼī H s. m. One whose business it is to grow and sell vegetables.

مراعات murāʼāﻌt A (inf. III. of رعي Heb. Aram. ) s. m. 1. Looking back upon, considering, reflecting, viewing attentively through half shut eyes. 2. Attending to, listening, at- tention, regard, care. 3. Taking care of, pre- serving, guarding.
