مولود maulūd A (part. pass. of ولد) 1. adj. Born, generated; a son. 2. s. m. Poetry chanted before the bier of a deceased person when carried out, burial-service. A. H. مولودي maulūd-ī, A person who chants before the bier of a corpse.

مناسب munāsib A (part. act. III. of نسب Heb. and Aram. ) adj. Proper, convenient, fit, meet, suitable, becoming, expedient, pertinent, congruous, correspondent, apposite.

مني manī A (from مني Heb. and Aram. To define, to determine) s. f. Sperma genitale viri aut mulieris. ¶ minạ̄, Name of a place near Mecca, where sacrifices are made.

منوتي manautī मानित S̱. s. f. Bail, security, a person referred to to pay the debt, &c. of ano- ther, surety, assurance, acknowledgment.

محيط muḥīt̤ A part. act. (IV. of حوط) 1. Con- taining, surrounding, encircling, circumambient, guarding. 2. Comprehending, knowing. (subst.) Circumference, the ocean. بحر محيط baḥr-i-muḥīt̤ or درياي محيط daryā-e-muḥīt̤, The ocean. محيط دايره muḥīt̤-i-dāʼịra, The circumference of a circle.

مسطر mist̤ar A (noun of instrument of سطر Heb. and Chald. ) s. f. 1. A ruler (commonly, one made by stringing threads parallel to each other on paper, &c. and the lines are marked by pressing the sheet on this before writing). 2. A line.
