The name of a kind of verse, in which every line has a shorter one annexed to it (as the following from Mīr Soz:-- سن سوزعبث ديکهکي حيران هوگا خوبان کا جمال دل زلف مين الجهيگا پريشان هوگا مت لي يہہ وبال يہہ چال بري هي تجهہ سي نبهنيکي نہين آمان کہا کياهنستاهي توبہت پشيمان هوگا مت دانت نکال Sun Soz! aﻌbas̤ dekhke, ḥairāṅ hogā, ḵẖūbāṅ kā jamāl; dil zulf meṅ uljhegā, pareshāṅ hogā, mat le yih wabāl.
