منطقه mint̤aḳa A (noun of instrum. from نطق) s. m. A girdle, zone, belt. منطقة البروج min- t̤aḳatu-l-burūj, The celestial girdle, i. e. the zodiack. منطقه مبروده mint̤aḳa-e-mabrūda, The frigid zone. منطقه محروقه mint̤aḳa-e-maḥrūḳa, The torrid zone. منطقه معتدله mint̤aḳa-e-muﻌ- tadila, The temperate zone.

منگولا mangūlā H s. m. A small tassel.

مـﮩريدار muhredār P (for مـﮩره دار) adj. Smooth (applied to paper).

مـﮩون mihūṅ S̱. s. m. (dakh.) Rain: see مينـﮩ meṅh, and مهيون mhyūṅ. S. مـﮩي 1. मही mahī, s. f. The earth. مـﮩي پت mahī-pat (महीपति Lord of the earth) A king. 2. (for मथित) s. f. Buttermilk.

مجاهد mujāhid A part. act. (III. of جـﮩد) Striving; (subst.) A warriour (for the faith).

مقتل maḳtal A (noun of place of قتل Heb. and Aram. ) 1. A place of slaughter or of execu- tion. 2. The place of death, i. e. any diseased or wounded part of the body that causes death.

مرقب marḳab A (noun of place from رقب) s. m. A place of observatiou.
