متعذر mutaʼaﻌẕẕir A (part. act. V. from عذر) adj. 1. Making an apology. 2. Deserving pardon. 3. Difficult, impossible. 4. Stained. 5. De- faced.

مقلوب maḳlūb A (part. pass. of قلب) adj. Turned, inverted, converted. مقلوب مستوي maḳlūb-mustavī, A word or sentence which may be read backward or forward as درد dard (or in English madam), a palindrome.

مـﮩري muhrī S̱. (from منـﮩ muṅh) s. f. The cuff of the sleeve of a jacket, or the extremity of the leg of a pair of trousers, the bore (of a gun, &c.).

مـﮩما महिमा mahimā S s. f. Greatness (in ge- neral, literal or figurative).

مونڐها monḍhā H s. m. 1. The shoulder, a lump. 2. A stool, a footstool. See موڙها.

منسروا mansarwā H s. m. A man, male.

موسيرا mauserā S̱. (from موسا mausā) adj. mas. Belonging or related to the motherʼs sisterʼs husband; as, موسيرا بهاٴي mauserā bhāʼī, A cousin, son of a motherʼs sister. موسيري بـﮩن mauserī bahin, Daughter of a motherʼs sister.

مازو māzū P s. m. The oakapple, or gall. See ماجوپهل mājū-phal.

ميگهـ मेघ megh S (Pers. ميغ) s. m. 1. A cloud. 2. Name of a rāg or musical mode appropriated to the wet season and last watch of the night before the first dawn of day, and said to have proceeded from the head of Brahmā, or else from the sky. ميکهـ برن megh-baran (मेघवर्ण) adj. Of the colour of the clouds. ميگهپتي मेघपति megh-pati, s. m. 1. Lord of the clouds. 2. A name of Indra. ميگهراج मेघराज megh-rāj, s. m. The thunderer.

مسمار mismār A (noun of instrum. of سمر Heb. and Chald. ) s. m. A nail, peg, pin. مسمارکرنا mismār karnā, To raze, to ruin, to destroy. مسمارهونا mismār honā, To be razed, to be de- stroyed.
