ماهتاب māh-tāb P 1. s. m. The moon. 2. s. f. Moonlight, moonshine.

منسج mansaj A or mansij (noun of place of نسج) s. m. A weaverʼs shop. ¶ minsaj (noun of instrum.) 1. The instrument by which the web is stretched when working. 2. The part of a horse about the fore shoulder and under the mane.

مضمار miẓmār A s. An extensive plain, a plain for exercise, a race-course.

موڙها moṛhā H s. m. 1. A stool. 2. The shoulder. See مونڐها monḍhā.

مملکت mamlukat A or mamlakat (inf. from ملک Heb. ) s. f. Sovereignty, dominion, country, region, kingdom; grandeur.

مورخ muʼarriḵẖ A (part. act. II. of أرخ Heb. or perhaps, from Heb. and Chald.

ماٴ mā A s. m. 1. Water, juice. 2. Semen. 3. Splendour, lustre, temper. ماٴ الجبن māʼu-l-jubn, Whey (peculiarly, of goatʼs milk). ماٴ الحيات māʼu-l-ḥayāt, The water of life. ماٴ القرع māʼu-l-ḳarﻌ, The juice of the pumpion. ماٴ اللحم māʼu-l-laḥm, Distilled water from kidʼs flesh with spices.

مرقد marḳad A (noun of place from رقد) s. f. 1. A bed. 2. A grave, sepulchre, tomb.

مسخر musaḵẖḵẖar A (part. pass. II. of سخر) adj. Subjected, subdued, overcome. A. H. مسخراپن masḵẖarā-pan, s. m. Buffoonery, drollery, jesting.
