لگنا lagnā S̱. (r. लग Come in contact) v. n. To be applied, to apply, to begin, to be fixed, to be attached, to be close (to), adjoin, to touch, to be employed, to be imputed, to attain (to), to reach, to suit, to join, to close, to be, to be- long, to become, to happen, to befall, to seem, to taste, to be connected (with), to regard. لگ رهنا lag rahnā, To continue without interrup- tion, to continue fixed. لگارهنا lagā rahnā, To be occupied or busy (in).

لکهني likhnī लेखनी S̱. s. f. A pen. لکهني داس likhnī-dās, A writer, amanuensis, copyist.

لڙباولا laṛ-bāʼolā S̱. adj. Mad, foolish.

لـﮩر lahar S̱. (Sans. लहरी) s. f. 1. A wave, un- dulation. 2. Whim, fancy, vision. 3. The ef- fect of the poison of a snake. 4. A waving pattern in embroidery. 5. Emotion.

لاٿا lāṭā H s. m. A kind of food eaten by the poor (mahūʼā pounded with grain).

لوگاٴي logāʼī H s. f. Woman.

لاگو lāg-ū S̱. adj. Desirous, adhering to.

لالچ lālach S̱. (Sans. लालसा) s. m. Longing, co- vetousness, greediness, selfishness, avarice, occa- sion, view, want. لالچ کرنا lālach karnā, To covet, to long for.

لو lau लय S̱. s. f. 1. The flame of a candle, any pointed flame. (Scotch, low). لو لگانا lau lagānā, To be constant in prayer, devotion, &c. لو لگني lau lagnī, The frequent and long continued repetition of any saying (particularly, of a lover calling on his mistress, or of a dying man on God), to have a constant desire or craving (for any thing).

لگ چلنا lag-chalnā S̱. To follow closely, to court friendship.
