لجلجانا lajlajānā H v. a. To soften.

لٿکن laṭkan H s. m. 1. Any thing hanging. 2. Drops worn in the ears; a pendant, aigulet. 3. A fruit with which clothes are died yellow. 4. Name of a green handsome bird, which of- ten remains hanging by the feet. 5. A stand for water-pots. 6. The drops of a crystal lustre. لٿکن مـﮩبن laṭkan mahban (dakh.) A silk twist with two or four silk tassels suspended to it for a ladyʼs chonṭī or braided hair.

لشٿم پشٿم lashṭam pashṭam H adj. Topsyturvy, with difficulty, with much ado.

لوازم lawāzim A or لوازمه lawāzima, s. m. plur. (of لازم) Necessary things, what is indispensa- ble, requisites, appurtenances, accommodation, baggage.

لسان lisān A (Heb. Chald. ; from لسن or rather from لس lassa, To lick) s. f. The tongue, language, idiom, dialect. لسان الثور li- sānu-s̤-s̤aur, Bugloss, borage. لسان الحمل lisānu- l-ḥamal, Plantain. لسان العصافير lisānu-l-aﻌṣāfīr, The seed of the ash-tree. لسان الکلب lisānu-l-kalb, The herb dogʼs tongue. (Cynoglossum). ¶ lassān, adj. (superl. of لسن) Eloquent.

لٿها لٿهي laṭhā-laṭhī S̱. (from यष्टि see لٿهـ) s. f. Mutual beating with cudgels.

لور lor लोल S̱. s. m. 1. See لولک lolak. 2. Tear.

لسکنا lasaknā S̱. (r. लस Cling, stick, adhere) v. n. To become viscous, to become moist (or stiff, as a field).

لـﮩان luhān S̱. (from لوهو lohū, q. v.) adj. Bloody.

لمبها lambhā S̱. s. m. A hare, a rabbit. See لمکنا.
